"We've spent a lot of time on this beach lately as the weather has been so clement. Its got a bit of everything:- miles of sand for excellent walking, lots of shells and pebbles to collect, all sorts of hidden treasures that have been swept up. We even had a paddle in the tide last week. It was so warm!
Parking is available at various points along the front. Our favourite spot is just down from the Patty Pavillion which is free. It gets very busy at lunchtimes even in Winter, but we normally find a spot. Alternatively there is also parking opposite Singleton Hospital (40p per hour) and at Clyne opposite Blackpill. (free until April, but not sure how much in season.
Dogs are allowed on the whole beach in Winter and in Summer they are allowed at the City end of the beach down to opposite Singleton Hospital.
Its not really ideal for disabled access, but I have taken my off-road pram on there. There is usually plenty of wet sand ideal for the pram if you are taking tinies for a long walk.
Even in summer this beach does not get ridiculously crowded as it's so long."
