"This is a beautful hotel tucked away behind Painswick Church. painswick is a sleepy little cotswold village with a lovely pub, a wood shop, fabric shop, gift shop and antique shop as well as a newagents/grocery store, chemist and post office.
The hotel has a range of rooms from the large 4 poster room, speaiclist large berooms and garden rooms. It has a library, drawing room, bar and sitting room. The rooms are all decorated differently and all have en-suite shower or bathrooms. the 4 poster room has two baths in it. The rooms all have antique furniture and original features. they also have complemetry fruit and sherry. There is also complemetry fruit in the sitting rooms. The sitting room has a lovelylarge open fire which is gorgeous in the winter. Breakfast is a combination of cereals and continental style fruit, meats and cheeses. Youcan also order priidge or cooked breakfast. The quality fo teh food is excellent. Evening Meals and lunches as well as afternoon tea and morning coffee have to be paid for seperately if required. They can be served in your room or in the sitting room or library. Drinks are always served with complementary biscuits. The chef has won numerous awards and the food is outstanding although pricey - as you would expect. I was married at this hotel and the facilities were fantastic. It was an idea setting for photographs and the wedding room hire was very cheap although the meals were rather expensive. It was well worth it as everything went smoothly and we were well looked after by kind staff." Was this recommendation useful?
