"If you like the quieter unspoilt holiday, this is the ideal place for beach lovers or walkers and bird watchers alike, you can always guarantee your own space to either walk, play or just relax in. I've been a visitor to Brancaster for all my life and still return every year now with all my children, most of my great childhood memories revolve around holidays here. We are very lucky to be able to stay just 50 metres away from the sea, to wake up first thing and be able to glance out across the bay. There are plenty of lovely places to stay, lots of holiday cottages, fantastic hotels including The White Horse. My favourite place to eat is the aptly named "Jolly Sailor" pub, it has great food (fresh fish), beers and always welcomes kids, it also has a great outdoor eating area for the summer months. There are lots of really pretty surrounding villages Burnham Market is full of quaint shops and more great places to eat and stay. If you need a bit more to do, within a fair driving distance is Sandringham, this has fantastic gardens and museums and picnic areas. Wells is about ten miles away with also lots more to do for the kids. There are local ferries that take trips to Scolt Head Island, this is just an amazing place to see, and it's like another world. If you enjoy sailing, there is a local sailing club with harbour that has a full sailing programme. The local surf shop sells accessories and also does sailing lessons. All in all, Brancster Staithe is somewhere I will always visit and hope my children's children do the same!"
