"The Lion King musical is the most spectacular show i have ever seen. I can not recommend it highly enough it is a must see if you are in London.

The show is set in the African pride and is about a young lion club named Simba who will one day become king of the pride but his journey is not a simple one. He has many troubles before he can take his rightful place as king. The show is about his journey and how he over comes his problems. I found the story itself very moving and parts of the show brought a tear to my eye when Simba lost his father.

The production itself is amazing. The costumes make the actors become it animals. All the actors gave brilliant performances and seemed to give themselves 100% to their parts. The costumes fit the show perfectly and the moments in the costumes mimic that of how animals behave.

The music is very moving and having a live orchestra playing just meters away from you really got my heart racing with excitement.

The lighting and special effects are wonderful I was amazed by the sets. At one point near the beginning of the show the animals enter the stage through the audience and its magical.
I believe the show will appeal to both adults and children alike. I've never meet anyone who has seen the show and not loved it.

I would recommend taking younger children to a matinee performance as evening shows do run quite late the shows running time is 2hours 45 mins long in total it could be tiring for little ones. I also noticed are also booster cushions if your little ones are having trouble getting a good view. Just a warning that the que for the toilets is huge during the 20 minute interval. Make it your first point of call if you need to go.

The show times are listed below.

Evenings: Tuesday to Saturday 7.30pm
Matinees: Wednesday and Saturday 2.00pm
Sunday 3.00pm

Ticket prices start from 20 pounds up to 55 pounds depending on where you sit and what days and times you go on. Tickets can be booked 24 hours a day 7 days a week by phone on 0870 243 9000 or on line from ticket master. Or in-person at the Lyceum Theatre Box Office, 21 Wellington Street, London WC2.
