"This is a delightful place to spend a day in the countryside. It can be enjoyed all year round as the views are stunning on a clear day whether it be on a glorious summers day or a chilly winters day so long as you dress correctly for the weather.
The Park itself is free and so are the gallery buildings. There is 3 pound parking charge to park all day until 6.30. This makes a cheap family day out if you take your own picnic and there are plenty of nice spot to enjoy a family picnic or there are cafes on site if you prefer to buy something there. In the main building there are toilet facilities.
You can wonder around the 500 acre park at your leisure as you walk around many different artists have created amazing modern and contemporary art sculptures to enjoy. Its a good idea to take a camera along to capture the sculptures in this beautiful setting. Organized tours are also available but ring first to check dates and times. Also temporary open-air and indoor exhibitions are run throughout the year
Kids will love the freedom they get when they explore the park, it is both educational and fun for them.
To reach the Yorkshire sculpture park by road it is less than 1 mile from M1 exit 38. Follow brown heritage road signs to YSP - turn off at the first roundabout on the A637.
