"In just one day, you can meet over 1,000 wonderful animals, in the beautiful parkland setting on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
Animals you would see on your visit include, lions, tigers, polar bears, various monkeys and apes, flamingos, sealions, zebras, giraffes and not forgeting the penguins who do a wonderful penguin parade around part of the zoo.
You will also see the new additions Koala bears and even you might just see some babies.
Why not take a trip to the top of zebra hill, and see the camels, giraffes and zebras, you can either walk or take the zoo bus up, as it is quite abit up.
The Zoo also has a range of eating options from restaurant and cafeteria and picnic tables to ice-cream booths.
So you can relax while the kids run 'wild' in the huge playpark and turtle maze.
You can also visit the zoo shop to take away a small or LARGE souvenir, to show your friends.
The Zoo is open every day of the year - even Christmas Day! - from 9.00am and closes at the following times:
April-September 6.00pm
October and March 5.00pm
November-February 4.30pm
prices for the zoo are as follows:-
Adult £10.00
Child (age 3-14) £7.00
Child under 3 Free
Concession £7.50
Family Tickets
2 Adults + 2 Children £32.00
2 Adults + 3 Children £35.50
Also if your coming in a large group you will get discouted prices.
So take a trip in one day, but you will need a day in it as it is HUGE!!"
