"Wingham Wildlife Park is only 5 miles from the city of Canterbury and is situated in the quaint rural village of Wingham. The park is home to lots of wierd and wonderful animals, many of them originally rescued or unwanted, and most of the animals are free to wander round the park as they please. This place is great for animal lovers as you are able to get right close to nature. For example, On one of the thousands of visits to this park, my son and I hand-fed an adorable baby wallaby, a deer, several pigs, goats, a variety of birds from a emu to a common goose, and also a llama. The animal food is available at the entrance for a tiny price (30p 0r 4 for a £1) and all the animals, if hungry, is able to eat it. Feeding the animals is not the only thing to do or see at this park, oh no!! There's also a Birds of Prey area, a parrot house, a tropical butterfly house, a large picnic area (but wash your hands first please with the special soap available all over the park). Finally for the kids, there is a MASSIVE venture play area with many swings and slides, adventure climbing areas (many of which are wooden structured), tunnels and trampolines. There are other animals to see too- Lemurs, monkeys, meerkats and my favourite, the otters (there was only one for quite a while until another rescued otter came in so he now has a little mate, awww!). However the best thing about the park is that it is open ALL year round, 7 days a week and costs only £6.90 per adult and £5.50 per child (family discounts available). If that wasn't cheap enough for you, there is even a voucher on the back of the map they provide which offers free child entry for your next visit. And trust me, you WILL want to visit again.........and again........ and again.....AND AGAIN!! I know we do!!!"
