"As the locals drive through without giving the beautiful town a second thought, take a break and think about what's around you. Teignmouth has two wonderful beaches; the first is the coastline with a magnificent stretch of sand and pebbles going all the way east along to Dawlish (ideal for them metal detectors) with the most spectacular views of the open ocean.
Second is at the harbour where you can sit, relax and providing the weather is right even sunbathe while you watch the ships coming and going.
Around the actual town itself you can travel back through time as you wander up and down the narrow cobbled streets and explore the unique shops.
Teignmouth is a growing tourist attraction in the south-west of England and very convienent for holiday makers who like to travel around, as it is situated on the main road beteen Exeter and Torquay.
But despite the location Teignmouth has enough to offer without you having to look elsewhere for excitment and entertainment.
An ideal place for people of all ages to enjoy, whether you are after a relaxing break or an action packed one.
Make sure on your visit you look into the local history because things are not always as they appear while you are strolling casually along the beach."
