"Lister Park was bought by Bradford council from Samuel Cunnliffe Lister 1870 on condition it was used as a public park.Parking for this park is on the street, but if you are in Bradford the buses go past this park and stop regularly, bus fares are very cheap.Lister Park has some stunning views.Firstly,there is Lister Park which was recently voted Britains best park.The park includes Cartwright Hall which is a museum and art gallery.There is an imposing a statue of sir Titus Salt presiding over the park.Into Cartwright hall now, a grand building housing Bradford's premier Art gallery and museum this contains lots of excellent Artwork.
There is Victorian art by artists such as Ford Maddox Brown, Arthur Hacker, a portrait of Delius by H-James Gunn (Delious was born in Bradford).There are botanical gardens, a boating lake and the sensational Mughal water gardens.Many people of all ages come to the park to relax and take in the in the beautiful scenery.Kids can run around and play on the grass area whilst parents can relax and see their kids playing.For the elderly,there is an area where they can play lawn bowls and talk with their friends.The park is located in Bd9 in the Mannigham area"
