"This is a really good place for adult and children, I found that my smallest who is 18 months old was just a bit to young to enjoy this place, but my 4 years old just loved it, and if you kids like balamore they will love it even more as a lot of the vehicles used in the show are now on display in the museum.
There is a wonderful recreation of a Glasgow street scene from 1938, which you are able to explore. They have a wide selection of road, rail, and sea over the centuries, they also have a wide selection of steam locomotives, electric and horse drawn trams, buses and cars, also on this bottom floor there are fire engines, police vans, and ambulances. Examples of cars after they have been is accidents.
They also have a selection of rides for the little ones to go on, and tables where you can sit and eat if you bring your own food, if you haven't there is a café where you can get some food and also a gift shop where you can pick up some sovenerirs.
On the upper floor, the history of bicycles and motor cycles is displayed, and also there is a large room fully of shipyard models. I got some really nice pick of my son steering the wheel of a boat, this place is free to visit, and if you are in a wheel chair or have a pram with you there is a lift from the street side that will take you on to the mane floor of the museum and there is a separate lift onto the second floor. They are open Mon –Thurs & Sat 10am – 5pm and Fri & Sun 11am – 5pm, they also have free car parking, my little boy has been begging me to take him back, and I will but just as soon as we have got through all the other activates we have planned."
