"Want a nice holiday in the highland with out being excluded from the outside world then Inverness is the place for you. They have a wide selection of hotels, B&B's, and travel inns to suit any pocket. Weather you want to stay for a long weekend or a couple of weeks. They have a large selection of café's, restraints and take away places so you will never be stuck for any where to eat
For things to do you can – Play golf at one of the three golf courses, one of which has a driving range, and you are also close to the courses in Nairn and Dornoch Go swimming at the aqua dome which has flumes and is a great place for the kids You can go ice skating at the local ice rink You can go angling at the hill lochs and rivers around Inverness; these are famous for the quality of there fishing of salmon, sea trout, brown trout, rainbow trout, and pike. You could also go for a walk, from hill walking and mountaineering to a nice slow walk around the city, along the river and through the islands, a place I have many fond teenage memories of. But if you would prefer a nice long walk you should try the great glen way for a memorable experience. If you are into sailing or windsurfing you can go to the loch ness or Moray Firth Inverness also has a wide selection of cycling routs Go shopping in the new eastgate centre or the Victorian market and there is also the shops in the town or up in the retail park. You could go and take a look around the Inverness castle, or St Andrew's Cathedral," Was this recommendation useful?
